Company · About

We are building the layer a company runs on.

Atlas Technologies is a German software company working on one problem: companies own more software than they can connect, and the connecting is still done by people.

The problem

Every company of any size already owns what it needs to act well.

The customer history is in the CRM, the commitments are in the plan, the constraints are in finance, the context is in six years of email. What none of them has is one place where those are the same picture. So the work of joining them falls to people, and most of it never gets done.

Today, people join the systems, one question at a time.

Why Atlas exists

We started Atlas because that gap is not a tooling problem that another application will close.

It needs a layer above the applications: something that holds one model of the company, understands what is happening across it, and can act on what it finds. That is what we are building, and it is the only thing we are building.

Do not build another tool employees have to operate.

Build the system that operates the tools.

How we think

Five convictions we have not changed.

These are the positions the product is downstream of. They are also the fastest way to tell whether we are the right company to talk to.

  1. 01 · The one principle

Do not build another tool employees have to operate.

Build the system that operates the tools. Every decision here is downstream of that sentence, and most of what we have chosen not to build was rejected by it.

  2. 02 · On enterprise software

The problem was never a shortage of software.

Companies own more of it than they can connect. Each system is right about its own domain and blind outside it, and the joining is done by people, one question at a time.

  3. 03 · On what stays

Your systems of record are not the problem.

CRM, ERP and the rest stay exactly where they are. Atlas sits above them, which is why adopting it does not begin with a migration, and why we are not trying to replace anyone.

  4. 04 · On autonomy

    Nothing autonomous is uncontrolled.

Permissions, approvals and a complete audit trail are part of the architecture rather than an enterprise tier. A system that can act and cannot be bounded is a liability, not a product.

  5. 05 · On honesty

    Outcomes outside, architecture inside.

Nobody buys a vector database. We talk about what changes in the company, and keep the engineering talk in the engineering, where it belongs.

Where this goes

A company that understands itself, and knows what to do next.

The long-term ambition is larger than the product we ship today: an operational layer that understands what is happening across a company, decides what should follow, and coordinates it, while the people running it keep setting the direction.
