Atlas is building the operating system for autonomous companies. Signal, Command and Forge help a business understand what is happening, decide what to do, and execute the work on its own. That does not run on dashboards. It runs on real software: robust infrastructure, reliable pipelines, complex backend logic and interfaces people actually want to use. That is what you would build.

We want an engineer who owns software rather than tickets, and who is comfortable taking something from problem to architecture to production. We are scaling quickly and hiring into that growth. If you want real autonomy, real complexity and real responsibility, we would like to hear from you.

Software that ingests information, understands business context, decides, and then acts across other tools, databases and workflows.

    • The backend architecture behind Signal, Command and Forge
    • Autonomous workflows and execution engines
    • Data pipelines, event-driven automation and agentic workflows
    • APIs and integrations with the systems customers already run
    • Data models for complex businesses, plus auth and multi-tenancy
    • Production frontends and dashboards that make complex systems legible
    • The infrastructure to deploy, scale and operate all of it

Some days that is deep inside a Python service, some days a database model, some days the interface that exposes an entire autonomous workflow. The point is understanding how those pieces belong together.

Fundamentals first, and the judgement to make good technical calls without a specification for every detail.

    • Python, and TypeScript across the stack
    • Backend architecture: REST APIs, async processing, queues, background jobs
    • PostgreSQL and relational design you can defend
    • React for production frontends, not just prototypes
    • Cloud, containers and CI/CD, with secure production environments
    • Observability enough to know why something broke, not just that it did
    • AI systems, LLM APIs, agents or retrieval are a strong advantage

Knowing every framework matters less than engineering systems that stay reliable.

The stack follows the problem, so this list moves.

    Frontend

    • TypeScript
    • React
    • Vite
    • Tailwind CSS

    • Python
    • FastAPI
    • Node.js
    • REST
    • WebSockets

    Data

    • PostgreSQL
    • Supabase
    • Redis
    • Vector stores

    AI

    • LLM APIs
    • Structured output
    • Tool calling
    • Retrieval

    Infrastructure

    • Docker
    • Linux
    • Cloud
    • Queues
    • Object storage

    Engineering

    • Git
    • CI/CD
    • Automated testing
    • Monitoring

Nobody has used all of it. Understand software deeply enough to learn the rest.

    • Thinking past the feature, to what happens at a hundred times the data
    • Failure states designed for rather than discovered
    • Database structure, latency and security treated as features
    • Code a colleague can still read six months later
    • AI used for speed. The architecture, the trade-offs and the decisions stay yours
    • Shipping treated as where the engineering starts

Not another CRUD application. The infrastructure that lets a company increasingly run itself.

    • Signal finds. It turns market events into qualified sales opportunities.
    • Command recommends. It says what should happen next, with the reasoning attached.
    • Forge executes. It turns decisions into action.

We are early enough that the systems you build now become fundamental to how the product works for years.

Atlas sells something genuinely difficult to explain: an operating layer above the systems a company already runs. This role is about making that clear to operators and executives without flattening it into slogans. Harder than most marketing work, not easier.

Traineeship describes the experience we expect, not the standard. You would own marketing from your first week and grow the function as the company grows around it. We would take one genuinely talented person with no track record over someone average with five years of it.

    • Write and edit for the site, the newsroom and outbound work
    • Keep the market and competitive picture current
    • Shape positioning as the product itself moves
    • Run campaigns end to end and report what actually moved
    • Excellent written German and English. Genuinely excellent, in both
    • Curiosity about technology. No need to code, but you must understand the product
    • Comfort with data. "Engagement" is not an answer to what worked
    • Judgement about what is worth publishing, and the confidence to say when it is not
    • Self-direction. Nobody here will queue work for you
    • AI used for speed. The thinking stays yours, and copy nobody thought about reads like it

The roles above are the ones we can describe today. We are growing quickly enough that the list changes, and a good application has more than once arrived for a position that did not exist yet.

The same standard applies here. A template sent to thirty companies is easy to spot. One that argues for something specific is rare, and it gets read twice.

    • Tell us what you have built. A repository, a product, something that shipped
    • Say what you would want to own here, and be specific about it
    • Tell us what you think we are getting wrong. That is genuinely useful
    • We read every one, and we answer every one
    • If there is nothing suitable now we will say so plainly rather than going quiet
    • With your consent we keep your application on file for six months

Build the system a whole company runs on.
